YGGDRASIL
I know an ash tree,
named Yggdrasil:
Sparkling showers are
shed on its leaves
that drip dew,
into the dales below,
by Urd´s well
it waves evergreen,
Stands over
that still pool.

Our name YGGDRASIL derives from a world spanning ash tree that appears in the Nordic saga. It's roots and branches cradle all human, animal and plant life. We believe this notion to be extremely apt; it corresponds to our universal and holistic understanding of environmental protection.
YGGDRASIL was founded in 1996. Our objective was to give qualified people assistance in adapting their professional career after the breakdown of the German industry in the aftermath of the German reunification. Meanwhile we employ experts in the fields of Environmental Management, Geography, Geology and Ecology. On a regular bases, interns from all over the world work with YGGDRASIL and gain valuable insights in our daily practice.
As of 2002 we opened a branch office near Essen, North Rhine Westphalia.
Yggdrasil is a professional organisation that uses innovative techniques to solve land use issues balancing human needs with a sustainable environment and a long term view.
